Saxmundham

MFL Teacher – From April 2018 – 0.6 FTE, 3 days per week £22,927 – £38,677 (pro rata)

We are seeking a part-time, talented Teacher of MFL, specialising in French and Spanish, to join the Language department at Saxmundham Free School. MFL is taught from Year 7 through to GCSE. You must be committed to raising the standards of our students by creative and engaging teaching.

You will help nurture the potential in every student, inspiring and developing them to ensure they succeed. There is also an opportunity to get involved in Enrichment which takes place on Wednesday afternoons. You will have the opportunity to help enhance the student’s learning with an extra-curricular activity. Some current examples are horse riding, computer coding, debating and CCF.

We are seeking an outstanding Teaching Assistant (TA) as the school continues to expand, to be part of our committed team of support staff. You will help drive attainment and contribute towards building a positive and creative learning environment. You will be working with small groups of students and individuals who may have learning, behavioural, physical or emotional difficulties.

The successful candidate will:

  • have an understanding of the SEN code of Practice and inclusive practice within a school setting;
  • demonstrate a knowledge of the variety of barriers to learning that students face;
  • preferably have experience in a secondary school with excellent numeracy and literacy skills;
  • be able to establish positive and respectful relationships with students
  • Be an effective team player with high standards of integrity and approachability.

We are seeking an outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) specialising in Maths or Science, to be part of our committed team of support staff. You will lead programmes within your subject to drive attainment and contribute towards building a positive and creative learning environment.

The successful candidate will:
• have an understanding of the SEN code of Practice and inclusive practice within a school setting;
• demonstrate a knowledge of the variety of barriers to learning that students face;
• preferably have experience in a secondary school with excellent numeracy and literacy skills;
• be able to establish positive and respectful relationships with students;
• be eager to listen to students’ needs and specific requirements;
• Be an effective team player with high standards of integrity and approachability with the potential to lead.
