Beccles Free School

Chef Manager – 40 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum

The Seckford Foundation Free Schools Trust is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Chef Manager to work at Beccles Free School. The school is an 11 to 16 non-selective, inclusive secondary school and a member of the Trust, which also includes Ixworth and Saxmundham Free Schools.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week in total, term time only for 38 weeks which includes working 35 core hours per week, typically between 7:30 am and 3 pm, Monday to Friday, plus 5 extra hours each week to be worked flexibly as and when business needs dictate.

Ixworth Free School

MFL Teacher – Part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE) To Start: April 2019 (potentially earlier)

We are seeking a talented part-time (3 – 4 days per week) Teacher of MFL to join our language department at Ixworth Free School. MFL is taught from year 7 through to GCSE. You must be committed to raising the standard of our students by creative and engaging teaching.

A cross-trust Lead Practitioner role may be available for the right candidate.

Administrative Assistant  – Full time, 39 weeks per annum

We are looking for a capable and versatile administrator, who is proactive and hardworking. As part of a small team in a busy school office in the heart of the school, you will be carrying out a wide range and level of duties.
Reporting to the School Administration Manager, you will provide any general administrative support as required, including:
 Providing a welcoming front line service to all visitors and general reception duties;
 Maintaining student database and parent contact details;
 Administering the admissions process;
 Producing school trip information;
 Complying with policies relating to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety;
 Developing positive and constructive relationships with staff, parents and students;
 Reprographics, typing, collation of documentation, drafting and production of official reports, minute taking and dealing with attendance or exams;
 Undertaking tours of the school for applicants and parents/carers and new students as requested by the Headteacher.

It would be desirable to have had previous experience of working with data management systems but this is not essential as training can be provided. An ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with staff, parents and students is essential, as well as strong IT skills.

Lettings Coordinator

We are looking to appoint a personable Lettings Coordinator to assist us with unlocking and locking the premises as required. The hours would be variable, dependent on requirements but we have confirmed bookings for at least one evening per week, where the requirement would be to open the premises from approximately 5.30pm, and lock up again at approximately 7.00pm. The regularity could increase as the facilities become more widely used. Flexibility, honesty and reliability are key to this role, along with customer-facing skills. To start as soon as possible.

Saxmundham Free School

Teaching Assistants – 1 x permanent post; 1 x maternity cover post

We are seeking two experienced Teaching Assistants to join our committed team of support staff. We have one permanent role and one maternity cover role available. You will help drive attainment and contribute towards building a positive and creative learning environment. You will be working with small groups of students and individuals who may have learning, behavioural, physical or emotional difficulties.

The successful candidate will:
 Have an understanding of the SEN Code of Practice, and inclusive practice within a school setting;
 Demonstrate a knowledge of the variety of barriers to learning that students face;
 Preferably have experience in a secondary school with excellent numeracy and literacy skills;
 Be able to establish positive and respectful relationships with students
 Be an effective team player with high standards of integrity and approachability.
