Beccles Free School

Minibus Driver – Part Time

Beccles Free School is an 11-16 non-selective inclusive secondary school and a member of Seckford Education Trust. We are seeking a competent and enthusiastic Minibus Driver to transport students to and from home each day, as well as ensuring that the appropriate checks are carried out on the minibus prior to driving.  You will be required to work 15 hours per week during term-time.

Saxmundham Free School

Saxmundham Free School is a state school set up by teachers, families, the Seckford Foundation and other members of the community who were determined to make a positive difference to the educational landscape. We continue to exhibit that determination in all that we do. Teaching Years 7-11, we are a small growing school, ambitious for our students and seeing each individual as unique with their own strengths and needs.

Saxmundham is a confident and happy place. Our students receive excellent pastoral care and support in a small school setting. Our staff members know each of their students as individuals.

We are seeking a Talented Teacher of English on either a full or part-time basis to join our English Department. You must be committed to raising the standard of our students by creative and engaging teaching.

We are seeking an inspiring and talented MFL Lead Practitioner (ideally specialising in French) to lead our language department on a full or part-time basis. You must be committed to raising the standard of our students by creative and engaging teaching.

Science Teacher – Part Time

We are seeking a Talented Teacher of Science to join our Science Department, teaching three days per week. You must be committed to raising the standard of our students by creative and engaging teaching.

Science Technician – 22 hours per week, term-time only

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible Science Technician (who has a keen interest in the subject) to provide technical support and assistance to students and staff within our Science Department. Experience of working in such an environment, and a qualification in Science is desirable but not essential.

Trainee Teachers

We are now offering direct and tailored routes into teaching for graduates wanting to teach English, Maths and Science.

If you are a graduate, or about to graduate and are looking for school experience before you start teaching we would really like to hear from you.
We would also consider supporting current teachers (for example PE), who wish to switch specialism.

Our most popular option is to join on a permanent contract in Year 1 as a Cover Supervisor (with full professional development), moving on to SCITT or PGCE in Year 2.
